1. Acceptance
By creating an account on ConsultSmart, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please do not use the service.
2. The service
ConsultSmart is a marketplace connecting clients with independent consultants. We are a facilitator — engagements are between consultant and client. We do not employ consultants.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18+, legally able to contract, and not on a sanctions list. KYC verification is required to receive payments as a consultant.
4. Fees
Consultants pay a platform commission (3–8% based on plan). Subscriptions are billed monthly/annually. All fees are inclusive of applicable GST.
5. Escrow
Funds for engagements are held in our escrow account with our banking partner. Release is governed by the milestone approval workflow.
6. Acceptable use
No fraud, harassment, IP infringement, illegal services. Off-platform circumvention of fees is prohibited (and tracked).
7. Disputes
Both parties agree to use our dispute resolution before pursuing other remedies. Decisions are binding for escrow disbursement but do not affect other legal rights.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate. Pending engagements continue under existing terms. Subscription cancellation applies at end of period.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to fees paid in the prior 12 months. No indirect or consequential damages.
