ConsultSmart Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("ConsultSmart", "we", "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our platform at consultsmart.in.
2. Information we collect
Account data: name, email, mobile, password (hashed). Profile data: bio, skills, experience, portfolio, credentials. Payment data: handled by our gateway partners (Razorpay/Stripe/PayPal) — we never store full card numbers. Behavioural data: pages viewed, searches, click events for personalisation and security.
3. How we use information
To provide the service (matching, messaging, payments), prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations (KYC, GST), improve recommendations, send service updates. We never sell your personal data.
4. Data sharing
With consultants/clients you interact with (limited to engagement scope), with payment gateways and KYC providers (under DPAs), with law enforcement when legally required.
5. Your rights (DPDPA 2023 / GDPR)
Access, correction, deletion, portability, withdrawal of consent. Contact privacy@consultsmart.in to exercise any right. Response within 30 days.
6. Data security
TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest. KYC documents encrypted with KMS. Annual penetration testing. SOC 2 Type II audit in progress.
7. Cookies
Essential cookies for sessions, analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation), preference cookies. Manage in /cookies preferences.
8. Retention
Active account data: kept while account is active + 7 years for tax/legal compliance. Marketing data: kept until you withdraw consent.
9. Children
Service is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Updates
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days in advance.
